Meningitis jab to made available after pressure from medical experts.

The Department of Health Joint Committee on Vaccination and immunisation has finally agreed to introduce the Bexsero vaccine which will be used to combat Meningitis B a virus which is deadly to young babies.
The Department of Health rejected the vaccine but agreed to adopt the vaccine after pressure from Senior Medical Experts and charities.
Dr. Nelly Ninis, a medical expert for the Meningitis Research Foundation said it was a “monumental milestone” and suggested older children should be included.
